The NFL could never strip them of their championship. that's already thank you to late for that. of direction the Eagles are going to ask your self, as properly because of the fact the Panthers and Rams. in case you keep in mind the Rams have been heavy favorites. The Panthers easily led interior the fourth quarter, and the Eagles killed themselves interior the 1st a million/2. The Pats could have rather lost any of those large Bowls. They made vast performs late interior the interest which made the version, that could have been a consequence of understanding what became coming. additionally, the halftime intermission is two times as long at large Bowls than ordinary video games, to that end the Patriots had extra time to learn the tapes. there is no longer something which would be carried out now. that's not superb. that's enormously obtrusive how the Patriots began to play quite properly interior the 2d a million/2. They picked up all blitzes comfortably and that they threw lots of displays. Now all of it is clever how Belichick, Weis, and Crennel made their brillant plan for the duration of halftime. a minimum of Weis is getting his rear kicked with Notre Dame and Crennel with the Browns.

If there is proof that the Pats cheated, the game should be cited as such. I don't think that the Eagles should receive a win for it though. The game would just have to exist as an unclaimed victory. It would go down in history as the Superbowl that never happened. LOL
The Eagles got the ring they deserved for that year, the NFC Championship Ring. Maybe the Pats should be stripped of their World Championship Rings and just keep their AFC ones.
You are right. It was two years ago and unless solid evidence is revealed, forfeiture seems unlikely and unwarranted.

Nope. I'm a die-hard Eagles fan but winning a championship via forfeit 2 years down the road would be BS. What the Pats do is cheating, yes, but in my mind the only way the results of a game could be stricken would be if they had conclusive proof of it.

Im a huge eagles fan and while I would love to see the pats lose the ring I dont think i would want the eagles to get it like that 2 years later. Its not the same. I want to see them with the confetti and the whole nine yards.

If the pats cheated.....then yes...they forfeit the right to that championship, and since it was the Eagles playing them...they'd get the Superbowl title instead...if the NFL decideds to make them forfeit the game anyway. I don't know if that will end up being the case.
Will it be the same for the Eagles, no. Will they accept it, sure. Why? because it's still a championship...and they were cheated out of it by the pats because the pats didn't play a fair game.

The whole thing makes me sick! We lost the game by 3 damned points. Every time we had a blitz called late in the second quarter and in the second half, they ran a screen. C'mon, nobody guesses right that many times in a row. It sucks.
Would it be the same, of course not. Would they proudly wear their new rings, of course!

No problem. I'd take it. But they won't be forced to forfeit. Based on the slap on the wrist they just got, the Patriots can obviously do whatever they want because they generate so much money for the NFL.

No. If there was some guy there with a camera and the Eagles weren't smart enough to find the guy then they lose.
However, I seriously doubt that is what happened.

Yes they should!!! I also believe that if the NFL finds further proof that this occured in previous games then this TEAM doesnt play for the rest of the season........

Uh...No...because it was 2 years ago, and it is stupid to assume that the Pats have been doing this constantly...The problem here is that there is so much bad blood between Belichick and Mangini...and that is all this is...
