Small is small how big is big only in comparison to something else. When used in a physics problem it usually telling you what sort of approximations you can make to find a solution. For example an electron mass is small compared to the mass of the nucleus of an atom, so in most cases it can be neglected.

Small and big are relative terms.
Compare a goat, a horse and an elephant.
We will call horse small compared to elephant but the same horse is big compared to goat.

actually small is bigger than minute and smaller than big.and big is smaller than huge is bigger than small. That means small is not very small and big is not very big or small is not very big and big is not very small
on the other hand small is bigger than big because it contains more alphabets than big.and so as big is smaller than small because it contains less alphabets than big.
SIMPLE :)
