& as we see bangla & zim giving shocks to big teams ,ireland could ve also surprised if they were given a chance here ..... They should've been in place of Scotland or Kenya ....for a more interesting W.C

A qualifying round of matches were held between non-test playing nations to select 2 teams for the twenty/20 tournament by ICC and Ireland did not qualify from those group matches. That was the reasonn why Ireland was not included in this tournament.

In the qualifying matches for 20-20 before the tournament ireland was beaten up by both Bangladesh and Kenya... and these were the 2 teams that were the top 2 in that qualifying rounds.
bangladesh stood the top team of the all teams that had participated.

I think so there were not qualified for the world cup 2007 in South Africa that is the 20-20 world cup or they just left away by ICC.

Ireland didnt qualified amongst the non-test playing nations thats why they are not playing twenty20 world cup.

because scotland qualify not ireland,warm up matches decide before 20 20,in this way there are UAE AND CANADA BUT THEY DID NOT.

They are not nominated by the ICC for this level of game, and they have not got the test status so far.
