What was a good book you used? I don't know anything about macro-economics and the book the professor chose isn't very good >>> Economics (by Campbell R McConnell, Stanley L Brue. She is obviously not the best teacher also and that's why I'm looking for another textbook to help me with this class....

If you have studied micro economics, Samuelson does the best job of connecting macro economics to what you know. The problem is that macro is not a coherent theory, but competing theories about policy, growth, business cycles etc. That is to say no one really understands macro, so you must expect to be somewhat confused.
