I mean think about all of the actors, or comedians, such as John Candy, Jack Black, Chris Farely. Fat people are funny. Why do you suppose fat people are so funny?

Fat people are supposed to be jolly. As kids we are taught that, remember Santa. He was a jolly fat man who made you happy. It is still the same principle, fat people are supposed to make you happy.

A lot of heavier set people are funny people and it is usually because they try to find ways that people will like them and not be mean or rude to them. Most times, especially when you are a kid in school, no one is talking to the fat kids unless they are picking on them. If the fat kid is funny then he is able to make people laugh and that will draw other people's attention away from their weight. It is called a coping mechanism.

All those men you listed had great personalities. I guess in some cases, heavier people make up for their lack of physical confidence, by becoming extremely outgoing and funny. Jack Black isn't that fat, just a little chuncky. :)

We either laugh or we cry. It's a lot healthier to laugh -the world is cruel. Fat people are the last people as a group that can be victimized legally, and prejudiced against publicly.

Being overweight, they probably found that they were more likely to make friends by making people laugh. People tend to judge by appearance first, and humour is also a good defense mechanism against the insults and put-downs that were probably lobbed their way by those who were not fat.

I think there are funny people and also ones who think they are, such as yourself who really arent...doesnt matter what package they come in. I think Kramer on Seinfeld is one of the funniest people, but hes skinny...and your prejudice.

thier i'll say insecurities and dealing with no respect or love your whole life leaves one bitter and in some ways utterly sarcastic or droll, just don't give a damn. Could also be about coping or compensating for unattractiveness so they must be entertaining to be liked rather than relying on ones good looks.

one: saying fat jokes about themselves, is good comedy material they can easily use them, make them up, and get a laugh from others
two: some say they use humor to hide their pain, or where they always the class clown and had to be funny to avoid being made fun of?

"Sorry but I have to butt in as my boyfriends fingers are too fat to type, but I had a friend who was unhealthily overweight and said that they don't want to lose it because they won't be cute anymore, but in fact I couldn't bring myself to tell her she was damn ugly fat or skinny, so yeah pretty hilarious
