Can we really be positive over this? There was the case of the girl and boy out in Australia that caused a lot of doubt in people's mind when the body of the boy was found and the girl had claimed that they were attacked or something like that by a lorry driver. The man was later found but the girl was a suspect for a very long time and later proved innocent .

No one can be sure! They are guilty for leaving the children alone while they had dinner! As for murder? I dont believe anyone will ever know!!

I doubt them because of the way they seem to behave- they hardly look distraught!! At first I thought that people grieve in different ways but if your child went missing im sorry any normal human being would be absolutely distraught!! Look @ the parents of Reece Jones for example- clearly heartbroken!! They just manage somehow to keep themselves so composed - but how??????

At the end of the day the police could just be questioning them because they have no other avenues to explore and have come to a dead end!! Who knows!! Only the police and the McCanns really know whats going on!! We cant believe all we read in the papers! They have a great way of twisting stories! All I do know is that I hope to god they are not guilty!!

I don't think anyone can. This is why its going to trial.

I admit that I find their behaviour odd. They seem to laugh and smile a lot and enjoy all the publicity and the whole thing of setting up a "fund" when they are already wealthy and well paid themselves, it all seems a bit odd.

Plus in most of these cases the perpetrator is someone close to the child. Children are randomly abducted by strangers but its rarer.

I think some people have found the way they have conducted themselves a bit distasteful though, which is why theres so much "Anti-McCann"-ism going around.

No we cannot be sure - BUT - so much of the McCanns behaviours suggests they are.

The police are saying nothing - they are banned from doing so.

The McCann family and their spokespeople are the ones putting out all the stories and spin - including the lurid accusations! At the same time the McCanns have banned those who were dining with them from speaking!!

That includes Jane Tanner who supposedly saw a child being carried away. The very person that you would think they would want to talk!! Perhaps it is because another witness says her story does not hold up as she would have had to have passed him on a very narrow footpath where he was standing talking to Gerry!!!

No of course we can't - right now we only have bits of evidence being leaked but all I can say is its not looking good for Kate McCann is it?

Latest leaks are even more damning if true.

If she did OD her by accident because Gerry was a lazy b*stard with the kids and left her to cope while she clearly was struggling badly I actually feel sorry for her. Gerry is partly responsible if this turns out to be true. He left her once again to flit about the world pressing flesh - the guy is useless. Who would leave a grieving mother just to do some celeb mingling?

I have always believed from the start and still do, that the mcCanns have nothing to do with the disappearance of Madeline. I believe that all the portugese police suspicions and lines of enquiries have been prompted by the media speculation and gossip amongst the praia da luz locals. The McCanns have not only got to deal with their precious daughter going missing, but also the cruel accusations by the portugese police, who lets face it, have come across as extremely incompetent, that they could possibly be responsible for her disappearance.

The one thing that they are truly guilty of is abandoning their children just so that they could enjoy a meal with their equally irresponsible friends.

That fact alone makes them guilty in the disappearance of their little girl.

Even if they haven't harmed a hair on their child's head themselves, they have allowed it to happen by walking away from those kids.

People should wake up to the facts that are available.

All I know is that, if I had lost a child that way [which I wouldn't because I would never have done what they did] then I would have been totally devastated, incapable of coherent thought, and unable to operate properly as a human being.

I certainly wouldn't have been able to visit the Pope, the press, walk around with a smile on my face, drive around happily in my Renault McCann and all the other seemingly normal things they appear to be capable of.

The truth will out eventually, and I will be amazed if what everyone I know is thinking right now about them as a family doesn't prove to be true.

Until the body is found, and the Portuguese Police present ALL the evidence against the McCanns all anybody has is pure speculation. But,the evidence is beginning to look pretty damning against the parents of that poor missing child. If nothing else ,they ARE guilty of child abandonment...and that is definitely a crime, one that must be pursued by the authorities, they are NOT as guiltless as they try and make out.

no one can really be sure, look at 20 years ago a family on holiday in Australia baby girl snatched out of the tent by a dingo, mom spent 3 years in prison for her murder then they found proof that she had been telling the truth all along, there are a lot of similarity's between that case and this one

No, as no evidence has been formally presented. They are Innocent until proved guilty - both in the UK and Portugal.
The press have their own agenda on this and don't judge anyone by what your read in comics such as the Daily Mail, Express, Sun, Star or Mirror.

they started this sad chain of events by leaving their 3 children alone,so its sad ,but they are guilty of neglecting their children, they put Madeleine in the position where should could be abducted and seem to be guilty of being more interested in getting a high profile team around themselves ,than finding their daughter....
