I absolutely love the name Paris. I don't care for Paris Hilton but you shouldn't stop naming a child the name you like because somebody has messed it up. I love Paris Michelle and Paris Alina. Your daughter or whatever can make a name for herself and she could represent her name better then Hilton.

The name isn't too bad although I would never name a child Paris because of the famous person associated with that name - Paris Hilton. I think too many people are naming their kids after celebrities and will regret it later in life. What if Paris Hilton does something even more absurd in the future and the child named Paris gets teased because of it. Obviously, that could happen with other names, but a name that has been heard often and is not associated with a specific person is less likely to be teased about. Before Paris Hilton, most people would think of Paris, France, but is naming your child after a city/country/state so wonderful; not in my opinion.

I like the name and today while contemplating different names for my coming baby, I even considered it for a split second. Then I realized what other's reactions would be, although I shouldn't care. Probably most people would connect the name with Paris Hilton and she's not the most popular person right now. I'm not concerned about P.H. and what she's up too but with more thought, the name Paris would probably not even go well with our last name which begins with an S also.

no unfortunately it just reminds me of that horrible waste of space Paris Hilton! it is a pretty name but she has ruined it. But don't trust a bunch of strangers opinions! If it is the name you love for your beautiful baby then go for it! Who cares what others think. I'm sure by the time your baby is older Paris Hilton will hopefully be old news. It will be like Paris who?

NO I think of Paris Hilton. As a middle name it is ok but the child would be teased as being dumb and like Paris Hilton at school if they had a name like Paris

I like the name itself. But the first time I heard it was Paris Hilton, and for me that name will probably always be associated with her.
Then again, by the time our children get into school Paris Hilton will probably be washed up and no one will even remember her. :)

I really don't care for it to be honest. It does remind me of Paris Hilton, which isn't pleasant, but I also just don't like the way it sounds. I speak some French, so it's nice to pronounce it "Pah-ree" like the French do.

Paris Hilton has had way too much bad publicity for anyone to like that name anymore! Sorry but I dont like that name because it conjures up her image.

NO!!! if i had a child named Paris OMG my kid would get teased everyday about "paris hilton" and look at her she is no role model, i don't see how anyone other than paris hilton fans would wanna name their child paris.
