I have an idea about moving out there. I grew up in the Ozarks all my life, where people are so nice it bothers some people. I love the atmosphere here, but in order to better myself academically, I feel I need to move on.

So are people out there friendly? If I'm getting petrol at the gas station and am waiting in line, are people going to freak out at me if I start talking to them?

I love the social aspect of where I am, but I get this feeling the rest of America doesn't operate like this (at least its not on TV).

If anyone who lives out that way (bonus if you've lived in the south before) can tell me what I would expect, I would be very happy.

We're very nice, thank you!

It's going to depend on who you talk to, but most people will at least extend the courtesy of responding to you.

Be careful, though, we're bad drivers here.

If you want to know more about Colorado Springs in particular, please send me a message.

I live in Missouri.. So I am VERY familiar with the Ozarks.

I have lived in many different states, but have never been to Colorado Springs.

I find that everywhere I have lived you find good people and find those not so Friendly.
