welcome to labour...you sound like you are still in the first phase and if they are only 20mins apart wait until they get closer together (about 5-6mins) before you go to the hospital.

I would give them a ring and tell them whats going on, don't panic, make sure someone comes to be with you like hubby, friend or mum just in case things move along quickly.
The midwives at the hospital will probably just tell you to stay put and labour at home because the likelihood of you getting send home if you go in now is pretty high.

Relax, drink lots of fluids, walk around as this and gravity helps pull baby down and speeds up labour. Don't just sit on the couch or it will take longer. Warm showers help with the pain and remember to breathe deep through contractions.

Good luck and let us know how you get on...and go call the midwives!

best of luck

Don't panic only go to your hospital delivery suite when your contractions are 5 mins apart and lasting 1/2 mins. IF you live to far from the hospital wait until they are 5/8 mins apart. Eat something light take a bath, pack some sandwiches keep mobile, if you are worried call the hospital for advice. Make sure you have somebody with you if you can just incase your baby decides not to wait good luck most of all enjoy and dont panic

My Best friend is 9 months along also, and I say call your doctor, and he or she will tell you what to do. You are very close to having it. But my friends doctor said when they become 3-8 minutes apart and stay consistant to go to the hospital

hi! properly i'm 40-one weeks pregnant and have been at Blanchfield scientific institution in fort campbell, ok.Y. (militia) and that i've got had no longer something yet undesirable stories so a good distance. i've got not seen a real doctor yet and this is been a distinctive mid spouse each time. Your dealt with like a extensive decision fairly then someone. whilst i attempted discussing my beginning plan with the final mid spouse she pronounced there advance into no element in me speaking to her approximately it reason she does no longer be there for my transport besides. I sit down interior the waiting room for no less than 30 min after my appointment time each time and anyone who works there is purely rude. If i could see a civilian doctor i'd yet given my coverage i'm no longer allowed. i'm no longer attempting to scare you yet all my adventure have been unfavourable. I fairly have alot of buddies who've had those variety of themes with this actual scientific institution so i'm no longer able to assert this is all militia yet i'd stick to civilian care. besides i'm hoping this helps somewhat fairly then sounding like a venting consultation. solid success with each and every thing!!

premature labour ?! lol ignore that comment hunni you dont need to worry from 37 weeks your classed as term which means your ready for your baby to be delivered

anytime between 37 and 42 weeks is normal as doctors can never be 100% with your due date it sound to me as though your time has come !! :) soon you will meet your baby and be a mummy :) ring your delivery suite and they will most likely tell you to come in !! dont forget your hospital bags and babbas car seat ... after the birth they wont let u leave hospital without one !!

good luck for a safe delivery !!!

xxxxxxxxxx

It seems that you are already having labor contractions.
I suggest that you inform your doctor and prepare to go to the hospital. You may give birth anytime soon. Good luck!

go to the hospital - at least they can monitor you and tell whether you should be there or not - it's kinda difficult to determine over the phone

call your doctor first.
if you are having contactions they usually want you to wait until they are five minutes apart.
Go on if it takes you awhile to get to the hospital though.
