In regard to cleaning floors, a floor stripper removes the polish or wax and dirt off of a tile, wood or other hard material floor to prepare it for re-polishing or re-waxing.

In another context, a floor stripper dances and mingles with customers on the floor while other strippers dance on stage, on the bar or on tables.
