um.. Shana (but spelt Xana) in Brazil has a meaning you wouldn't want to give ur daughter.. Evelin is ok but a bit old fashioned

I think that it is a very nice name...Just for your information Shana means: old and it is irish, and evelin means hazelnut in german and bird in Latin.

I think it's a nice name... though actually I'm confused as to whether it's pronounced "SHAN-ah" or "SHAY-na"... which one is it? I have a friend named Shannah and I really this spelling. If it's the other pronunciation, I might consider spelling it Shayna or Shaena... or something.

And I think Evelyn is really pretty with the traditional spelling.

Good name choice!

I'm sorry, but I think it would be mispronounced. Are you saying Shane-uh, or Shan-uh? I also like the name Evelyn spelled with a "y" more. I feel badly for attacking the name you chose, but thought I'd give my two cents. Good luck! :)

It's a very nice name, not to common and not to difficult to say. I do think Evelyn spelled like this looks better, but of course it's up to you.
