His own reports which now have been leaked from the White House are Identical to the two other reports, 1 by a retired Lt General and the other by the GAO refute what Bush spouts. Even the white house, on the eve of his address, doesn't even agree with him! His own report says they have REALLY only completed 1 goal and all that is to form 3 lousy brigades! Actually they haven't even done that!

This is the evening of HIS speech and the real figures HE KNEW that when he gave it. He lied on purpose and with malice and aforethought! Remind you of a 2003 SOU address?

What a liar!

He is pulling 5,000 men and NEXT July he still won't be at pre surge levels of men,. The military cannot sustain that number of troops in Iraq! They are going to have to be extended again! Of course, no one asked that question because they already knew the answer!

White House report shows little progress By ANNE GEARAN, AP Diplomatic Writer
43 minutes ago

WASHINGTON - A new White House report on Iraq shows slim progress, moving just one more political and security goal into the satisfactory column: efforts to let former members of Saddam Hussein's Baath Party to rejoin the political process, a senior administration official told The Associated Press.

The latest conclusions, to be released Friday, largely track a comparable poor assessment in July on 18 benchmarks. The earlier White House report said the Iraqi government had made satisfactory gains toward eight benchmarks, unsatisfactory marks on eight and mixed results on two.

Bush is still a liar!

You haven't said what you claim President Bush lied about. When did he say "mission accomplished"? Why do you think the mission was "suppoust" to be over? President Bush said all along it was a long fight. You think President Bush is retarded? He has an MBA from Harvard and a degree in histroy from Yale, do you?

Who's the liar? Bush never said "mission accomplished" as you know. The mission accomplished banner was hung by the crew of the USS Abe Lincoln.

This is the weakest in a long litany of attempts to bash your president. It used to be that undermining a sitting president during war was treason. You're lucky you live now and not under FDR!

Bush didnt lie. Mission against the Iraqi army was accomplished. We won against Iraq within a couple weeks. That is a fact.

We are not fighting the Iraqis anymore people!!!!!! The iraqi people, and its gvt have held free elections. They have voted in their own gvt. They ratified their own Constitution. The iraqi gvt has NO desire for the US to leave right now in fact they are begging us to stay because they cant handle their own security yet.

The people we are fighting right now are terrorists, many foreign, that want Iraq to destabilize so that they can sieze power for themselves. They arent liberators or freedom fighters because Iraq isnt being occupied. The iraqis have complete control over their own gvt and we could leave a lot sooner if they would take over control over their own security, which they have shown a rather slow willingness to do.

You people who would have us just leave now wouldnt have us set free the Iraqi people. They are free right now from the US. They have total control over their future. You would have us guarentee the Iraqi people fall under the rule of yet another Hussein like dictator. I would have more respect for your argument if it was just that it wasnt our business and let the iraqis fend for themselves. But to imply in anyway that we are occupying or trying to hold onto some kind of power in Iraq is insane and totally goes against every fact involved with this war right now. We are doing everything we can to get the Iraqis to take total control over so we can leave as soon as possible without the country falling into the hands of the terrorists we are fighting. The same terrorists that blew up over a dozen children, on purpose, about a month ago.

He was talking about the overthrowing of the despotic Saddam Hussein regime. A war is made up campaigns/theaters which are made up missions which are made up of battles. The campaign in Iraq is not finished but the primary objective was.

His "mission" to dupe us ALL into thinking he knew was he was doing! The SAD reality IS; we've ALL been tricked, hoodwinked, conned & bamboozled into this Iraq thing- and there's NOTHING anyone of us can DO about it, as long as that "Bush" is growing in the Whitehouse. He's a "pox" upon the presidency- & we have no one to blame but Ourselves... :(

It meant the initial invasion was successful. How hard is that for people to understand!? It didn't mean the whole thing was over. When this started, he said that it was going to go on for a long time, and even said he knew that we would become weary of it. That doesn't mean you just pack up and go though.

Um... what speech were you watching or did you even watch it? Bush never said "mission accomplished." And he never lied. Why don't you tell us what lie he actually told tonight.
