That pays WELL. Pardon this editor's point on grammar.
In the past four months of work I have interviewed a few thousand young people fresh or 4 years out of high school and I found that the most secure for future work were the ones in the basic Trades! I found that hundreds were like you, however, not knowing what they were going to do. Some traveled, some went straight into work, every one was different.
If you want security.. no joke.. consider plumbing or electrician or one of these jobs. There is a serious need as the older generation retires and in a few years the work will be falling to the new ones smart enough to take their apprenticeships now.
Apprenticeships are great and the cost is minimal... at least in Canada it is so.
Two of my brothers, university educated, went into basic carpentry for example because they LOVED working with their hands. Both now are very very successful contractors working in a field far from their original dreams. Both are also very wealthy btw... so it is a matter of passion as well.
If you want to sink a bunch of $$ into university, dentistry is big. It is a bit of a crap shoot, speak to some professional counsellors because uni is too costly to not have a specific goal in mind. Have you considered trying to do something in the Peace Corps or some international agency where you travel to other countries, do some work to help the local poor and return home with perhaps a greater sense of self?
In our town there are agencies where you can take all sorts of aptitude tests Give it a try.
Sometimes you go to uni with no idea of a goal. Or you KNOW. However, during your studies new avenues open up and you can end up where you never expected. This happened to my daughter. She went in to become a Math teacher and instead they offered her a scholarship and stipend for her Ph.D in computer sciences! She HATES computers to talk on.. but loves playing "under the hood".
You know you will never get a really good answer in here... just ideas. You are so lucky to have your life ahead to plan for... make the most of it....
Just make sure it is something you love and feel passion for ~ if possible.. It would be a crime to study law then find you would rather be a carpenter. I see some tell you you need a very high education. Yes but this depends upon your choice and if you wish the debt load that can also effect your lifestyle when you are graduated. There are so many options to weigh.
And I will tell you now, in this world, you do NOT want to rack up a huge debt because this throws you into instant slavery to the banks, something you wish to avoid at all costs if possible. I wish you the best of luck in whatever you choose.

It's called college...you can't make good money without it. You need degrees and higher education, preferably at least an masters in order to have a solid resume to show potential employers. You will also be able to hone in on a career path with college, cause after you're done with your GE, you have to major in something and from there you take the credentials from that degree and get a job in that field.
You don't look that smart, so you probably have mediocre grades and you defiantly did not score super good on the SATs, and you probably did not pass any AP tests, not a national merit scholar, and your after school was spent watching TV. That's cool...oh wait you kind of need all that plus a lot more to get into college..shoot what do we do now.
Jr. college is a good place for people to get their GE out of way, especially if they're broke and/or stupid. So if you're just starting to look into your future, junior college would have to be your first step. Cause its not like you can go and apply to Harvard right now. I'd try the JC system for GE and then transfer to a 4 year university.
You won't make good money without college.

You shouldn't decide your future based on money. What are your interests? what do you like doing the most? (beside playing computer games I would say before 2-3 years but in the US professional game players even earn money, still a bit risky decision for a career:) ) You should have some different thought in your mind I guess I had a list of jobs that I could imagine myself doing (the list was 54 jobs long!!!) from being a captain overseas to an architect or to a doctor... a lot of choice... these are the top 3 ones I can remember, still too far from each other. I like being on the sea so I thought about such jobs first... building ships!!! or just sailing with them:) then I think I should be in land for longer periods if I wanted to see my family or to start a family of my own.. then I think I like economy a bit so maybe becoming an economist (get rich and buy my own ship later:) ) but seem boring and not enough.. a bit of commerce in it maybe (international finance and logistics wauv has everything shipping goods international and sorting things like that) but you see these are jobs that you can't help people or directly contact with them. I liked the image seeing myself helping people so I wanted to become a doctor, in-fact my parents a bit directed me to this or lets say couraged me to do so. well watching medical series helped a bit too:) Then I saw that the responsibility of a doctor was too heavy, I am not a person who can handle failure easy. I couldn't accept that a person losing an arm or dieing because of my lack of knowledge or something I missed to read about. (becoming a doctor means a lot of research) so I decided or the life pushed me into a casualty-free way of becoming a doctor:) well less the odds are really low and I am trying best to improve my skills... I am going to be a dentist! but I am not really advice you to be a dentist it is really backbreaking (in every meaning) and abrasive (dentists joke) but I like it!!!! I still sometimes envy the cardiac surgeons or so but its more than 10-15 years for a surgeon to become a real surgeon, and the education is very hard (I can't memorize things easily medical education is really based on you remember everything!!!) dentistry is fine for me:)

You should consider what will be a growing field as well. Some jobs pay great but may be vanishing. Which may leave you jobless in a few years.
Computer programming is a good choice, always in demand.
Investment banking will pay some big dollars, more than lawyers and doctors!
Contractors and Subcontractors can make big dollars. Once you are the boss.. cha-ching!
Just my advice but look for a fun job that lets you travel the world and do not worry about money. Usually you will find money by doing what you love.

Whatever you choose, make sure it's something you actually like doing. Too many people choose certain careers because they are drawn by the high pay and then find themselves in boring and unsatisfying jobs where they end up soon washing out of if they don't get fired first.

Sorry, it's impossible, especially since you don't seem interested in college. It's nearly impossible to get a good job without a college degree. Money is necessary, but it isn't everything.

Yea I agree with lawyer. Three others would be doctors/nursing, computers (anything in computers), and truck driving. I have thought about all 4 and right now im in Local Area Networking (computers). I'm thinking about going back to get my CDL and do truck driving after I finish.

Computers have many areas which are all paying employee's well. From programing to networking. It's a field that will be around for a good while and is always growing, and growing fast.
