you might need to change the screen resolution....close any open windows, right click on the background, something should come up saying something like graphic options, or graphic properties, click it, change your screen resolution to a higher one..hope this helps

In the bottom right hand corner just above the clock on your toolbar, you might see a magnifying glass. Next to it, it should say '100%'. If not (or even if it is it will still fix the problem if the other methods dont work) try clicking it and it will come up with a list that changes the magnification ratio in your screen.

Left click on desktop background a menu will appear, you can adjust the font size and other things from there. Stupid no, but do use your help files, you can learn all sorts. Also the books called Idiots Guides are really great!

If you have a wheel on you mouse (between right & left buttons), try holding the CTRL key while rotating the wheel.
This works in firefox & word, and probably a whole load of other apps too.

The stupidity I can't help with. (LOL)

But the text size:

Hold the Ctrl key down and use the scroll wheel on the mouse to make the text smaller or larger.

change the screen resolution, horiontal and vertical will come up on your screen. It s the buttons on your screen, which control this, not the computer.
