Depends, if it's my boyfriend, I want him to pick out a gift but if it's anybody else. Cash..or gift, either way I don't care.

I used to think it was terrible that someone would send money instead of trying to think of a gift. That changed about 15 years ago when I met my soul mate.
I could pick out the perfect gift for anyone, except him. Everything I thought was right for him, wasn't. And he didn't find the right things for me, either. I never thought it would be like that for soul mates. But it was.
Eventually we realized we needed to circle things in catalogs for each other. Well, if relatives don't live near enough to each other they might not be able to circle things in a catalog. So they would have to send money or money orders. Now I understand why it's not bad to do that for people you love. After all, you don't send any gift to people you don't love.
