Although I don't totally agree with cabera_sa, he does make a good point in that you should start a new life. No, you don't necessarily have to go to the extreme of packing up your things and leaving your parents. Just try shaking things up in your life. By that I mean throwing out the old and bringing in the new. Take up a new hobby, do something you actually enjoy, dump that job if it bothers you, take a trip somewhere you've never been, do something you've never done, hang out with new people, get a different haircut, a new look, etc. Do you see where I am going with this? Give it a try, it might take a while, but once your focus shifts on something positive you'll be amazed how much better you'll feel. Personally for me it wasn't until I started mountain climbing, stock trading and making new friends that really helped me overcome my depression. Soon you'll find that life can get better from there in every aspect. Try it, however, if you're still having trouble I'd strongly urge you to seek medical help, now yes, I've had bad experiences too, but if you find the right people, the right medication, and program it can do wonders. The last thing I'll leave you with is this, don't give up. Fight and continue fighting through to get what you want. We all have the power within to improve our lives, you just got to work at it. It might be hard, but you work and work, Never give up. Good luck.

I've contemplated it with my possessions. Material things aren't that important but I wouldn't give in to the contemplation.

None of them. But, the one thing that might keep me from killing myself would be my wedding ring because it would remind me that someone cared that I was alive.
