If found guilty the Pats will be stripped of a title? The decisive word in that sentence is "IF". Walsh has nothing and the Pats won't be found guilty of anything. As far as never winning, 3 SB's, 4 Championships, and the most winning record of the last decade. Last time I checked, other than the first game of the season against the Jets (tapes they didn't get to use) the Pats didn't do anything to cheat at all last season. As far as buying a championship, too effin bad for you and your pathetic teams. There's no salary cap in baseball, so it's all fair to buy as many strong players as a team would like. Yankess have been doing it for years (and for the idiot who says the Sox have the highest paid team, pull your head out your A$$, the Yanks have higher paid teams on the books). The Celts will prevail as well. Sorry you hate Boston so much that you need to hope for bad things to happen to great teams. I'm sure you shrieked like a little girl when the Bruins (boston's weakest team) lost in the 1st rd.

People are taking this way too far. This was the first time they have cheated. Should they be "punished" for what they did...of course. But let's not start saying that because they were caught cheating this one time means that have cheated before and that's why they won the super bowls. Now, they may have cheated before. No one really knows. But this season, we'll see how good they really are. If they do as well as they have done in the past, i'm going to assume that this was a 1 time thing. If they suck, then maybe they have cheated before.

Ya know I don't think this is an isolated incident, We only know about it because they got caught. Does this mean they aren't a very good team and have to cheat to win...Absolutely Not. Does this mean that they didn't earn their rings...No. And it doesn't diminish the fact that Belichick will be in the HOF someday. I know I sound like a Pats fan but I'm not...Go Broncos! Were the fines appropriate? I think so. And it'll be a big deterrent to all of the other teams as well.
To tell the truth, I never really thought much about stealing signs in football, I generally thought it only happened in baseball. But it makes sense that some teams I've seen have 3 different players signaling from the sidelines.
But one fact is indisputable. In the NFL only winning matters, and every team is looking for anything that they can use as an advantage.

I'm not a Pats fan, but all in all I think the punishment was fair. Yes, they "cheated", but it only counts as a rule violation. Belichick was fined the maximum amount allowed by the NFL, and the team was also fined and forced to give up draft picks. I don't think they should have to forfeit the season or give back their super bowl rings. They couldn't have won all of those games based on cheating alone.

Kraft will probably take care of Belichick's $500k loss. So, really the punishment is losing a 1st round draft if they make the playoffs or 2nd and 3rd round draft picks if they don't. Considering the Pats usually build their team from free agent acquisitions and trades for high value players who want to come to a team with a chance of making it to the Super Bowl; the punishment may not affect the Pats one single bit.

Oh! and even if they lose that 1st round draft pick, they still have another 1st round pick from their deal with the 49ers getting Joe Staley from this year's draft. And they have an additional 3rd round pick in the trade with the Raiders.

maybe, nobody knows, so the nfl wont take back any rings or force them to forfeit any games. but there is reasonable doubt now, and in the public's eyes the wins are now tainted

First of all, you rambled on so much its hard to tell where YOU stand...What I think?...I think this is an NFL rule violation, not a Michael Vick felony...The NFL dealt with it, and now its done...Get a grip, people...
