Have the legal rite to go threw your persanel tool box and discared your tools he thinks are old and useless cluter?Utah or USA Law.

i dont think so.... what if you you need them still ?

and if its a tool box wouldnt you take that with you as you move from job to job ? so technically they are your property and not the property of the company so he shouldnt have any jurisdiction over your tool box...

I think that may fall into invasion of privacy, if you purchased the tools yourself. It also may fall into an illegal search & seizure.
No state law is supposed to violate U.S. Law.
I think I'd go talk to someone from Legal aid about this. You may have a doozie of a lawsuit & may be able to profit from it as well.
I'm assuming that these are your own personal tools that you purchased yourself, right?
Old and useless tools may have sentimental value as well a collectible value. No I don't think he has the right to do this.
You might want to check your employee handbook, first or any contract that you may have signed when you took this job.

If he did this while your personal tool box was on company property there may be rules of the company involving items on their property.
Review the company manual and employee guidelines.

But I still think it was a crappy thing for him to do!
