Crazy that this worked, I got the recipie off the internet and tried it cause nothing else had worked. Mix a solution of 1/2 water to 1/2 white vinegar. Spray the affected area gently dry with a towel. the lingering vinegar smell will disapate in a few hours and the urine smell gone too. It worked on hard woods, carpet, and drywall.

Vinegar and water, it works and is cheap. i have 3 dogs inside and they have not all been pottytrained yet i keep the mixture, half and half, in a spray bottle and everytime i notice that one of them has peed on the the furniture or my tiled floor i just spray the mixture, let it sit for a while and then i clean it with a dry towel. i have heard that the reason this works is because the vinegar kills the amonia bacteria that is in the dogs pee. my house does smell like vinegar but i just either open up the windows or turn on my air purifier after about an hour or so the smell is gone and no dog urine smell either. i also use this mixture to mop my house because it is safer to use than other toxic chemicals

If the odor is still there after removing the carpet, it may be soaked into the subflooring. Try Nature's Miracle or Simple Solution.

I actual have cats First i moist the carpet then I place paper towels and press until eventually it soaks up lots of the urine. Now to do away with the scent i take advantage of bleach ( my carpet's white) now and back ammonia. First get the puppy out of the room and doubtless potty practice it. in case you have colored carpet and you utilize bleach and the colour fades you may placed some furnishings over the stain. to make constructive my puppy would not pass ther back day after today i placed slightly of vinegar and that they do no longer seem to love the scent so they do no longer return. reliable success
