The Pentagon is the headquaters for the Department of Defense. It is one of the largest office building in the world with more floor space that the Empire State Building in New York. It has about 23, 000 employees that contribute to the planning and execution of the defense of the USA.

The Pentagon is the headquarters and principle offices of the U.S. Department of Defense. It houses the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the chiefs of the four principle uniformed services plus their staff offices.

Although it was damaged fairly extensively in the September 11th attack, it is a big building and most of it was relatively undamaged.

The damage from the airliner strike has been essentially repaired and the building is pretty much back in business. It was undergoing renovation at the time of the strike.

Its a building for old farts with old army uniforms on. Basically they do nothing there, and tell Americans that its the centre of their intelligence area. People walk around with more decorations on than a christmas tree, they stand by the water cooler, talk about Osama Bin Laden, then go home.
