I took a urine pregnancy test and got a positive 2 times so I decided to take a blood test and got a call saying I "MIGHT" be pregnant. She said my HCG level was 14 but it's too soon to tell to wait 10 more days. Well the waiting game is killing me. Today I was supposed to get my period and I didn't get it, no signs of it but I do have cramps. My OBGYN said he saw water in my uterus just 3 days ago. I have been trying for 6 years and I'm very excited but at the same time I might get a NO. What are my chances? Do I have to wait that long?

I would say you're pregnant! If you took 2 positve HPT and your period didn't come sounds good to me. Cramps are normal in early pregnancy so don't get discouraged by them. Try to relax, stress is not good for you or the baby.

it sounds like you are definately pregnant unless u have been having fertility treatment which could produce a false positive due to HCG being injected into you, rather then it occurring naturally if you fell pregnant the old fashioned way.
my doctor told me i was likely only 2 or 3 weeks and my levels were 2689!!!! i don't think she knows what shes on about. My last period was much longer ago then that!
i had the same thing about 3 weeks ago, chronic period pain but no period. this can be implantation pain i have heard.
HCG levels should douuble every 48 hours. 10 days is a long time to wait, my doctor advised the same after my first HCG level was 156. I didn't see the point in waiting after I found out about the 48hr thing so I went and had another blood test 4 days later, and they had risen to 2689.
congratulations and best of luck!! it sounds like your baby will be much loved and very much wanted :)

You are pregnant unless you had an HCG shot to encourage ovulation. What they mean by the Might is that 14 is very low and miscarriages can happy in early pregnancy (more often than people realize) so they are probably wanting to make sure the numbers are doubling like they should. My HCG levels at 14 dpo were 46.

Levels of hCG in pregnancy

Human Chorionic Ganadotropin (hCG) is a hormone that can be detected in the urine and blood of humans. This hormone increases during pregnancy so it is common to measure the rise in level using Home Pregnancy Tests ( or HPTs, which measure hCG levels in the urine) or a hCG Beta test (which measures hCG levels in the blood serum). The hCG Beta is much more sensitive then the Home Pregnancy Test and you can usually get a positive result much earlier with a blood test than with the HPTs.
Usually the reference values for hCG Beta are as follows:

Men: less than 5.0 mIU/ml - Normal

Women: Non -pregnant - less than 5.0 mIU/ml - Negative/normal

*Borderline - Between 5.0 to 25.0 mIU/ml (you could be pregnant)

*Positive - Higher than 25.0 mIU/ml

If thats what the doc said then it is best to wait, but i think you proberly are pregnant and 14 is good for HCG levels cause it's higher than what it's supposed to be if you werent pregnant. cramps are normal i thought i was getting my period but it turnt out i was pregnant, i am still getting mild period like cramps to this day and im now 17 weeks. Good luck and i will even say congrats cause to me it sounds pretty positive.

Sounds like your chances are good! I had bad cramps a few days before I found out I was pregnant, right when I was due for my period, so I wouldn't worry about that, it's normal to cramp. Just take it easy, be sure to take some prenatal vitamins and lots of folic acid, and just relax! But I'm pretty certain you are prego this time!

If your OBGYN mean that he saw a sac (water bag) in your uterus then you are definitely pregnant. When i was 4 weeks pregnant with my first child, my obgyn found the sac in my uterus with out the baby, then at 6 weeks he found the baby in the sac. Congratulation, you are pregnant. Please becareful, take fenental vitamines, eat healthy, don't lift up anything heavy and resting alot. This is the gift from god to you! Take good care of yourself and your pregnancy! wish you have a beautiful and healthy baby!

I would say wait 3 days and test again because hcg doubles 30 hours.
