Doctor's say that is one way to decrease the chances of developing a urinary tract infection (uti). It definitely doesn't hurt to be on the safe side and urinate afterward, but you don't have to.

It isn't mandatory that you have to pee after sex. If you have a history of UTIs it can help (personal experience).

Urinating doesn't flush out sperm its the fact that you are allowing gravity to do its thing and some sperm may exit the body but there is so much sperm that is in you at that time and most if it is already on its way to where it needs to go... if you are having problems with UTIs and/or you really have to go pee right after sex you could wait a few minutes if that makes you feel better and then go to the bathroom. But personally I wouldn't worry about it affecting your chances of conceiving. This is of course my personal opinion and I have read books that have a simular opion. Hope this helps.

No. The girl doesn't HAVE to urinate. She may feel the need to though from the pressure. Not urinating right after sex will not harm her, although she may feel like she has to. I have always had to right after because if felt as if I would pee my pants if I didn't, haha. But when I was trying to conceive I took one for the team and laid down for about 1/2 hour after sex in order to have my body relax and let gravity do its job. :)

If "the girl" has a history of urinary tract infections, it's in her best intrest to urinate after sex. It can help flush out the bacteria, etc. from the tract and keep her from developing a harmless yet VERY uncomfortable infection.

Yes because otherwise she risks bladder infections aka UTI's. I have had one UTI and that is what the doctor told me.

she shouldn't have to go unless she felt like it before she had sex.
