It depends on the person. Most chiropractors know how to work with pregnant women and can adjust how they have you lay or change the table to accomodate your tummy.

Some women at four months are bigger, I carry long and shallow and don't usually show till almost 6-7 months.

you can lay on you tummy as long as it is comfortable , it causes no harm to the baby. By 24 weeks or so it will probably be too uncomfortable. Some dr's have special maternity tables with a belly cut out, ask your dr if there are any accomidations he can make for you, or if he can refer you to a dr who can for the last half of your pregnancy.

Believe me, you'll know when you can't lay on your stomach anymore. It's like a sixth sense....I was about 5 months when I realized I shouldn't be doing it anymore. Your chiropractor probably has techniques specifically made for the pregnant ladies. Just let them know you're pregnant, and they can tell you what will go down eventually.

It's fine until you start to feel uncomfortable. i am 17 weeks now and it's starting to get a little uncomfortable and if a lay on one side with nothing under to support my tummy i get lite cramps. Your body will tell you when your bub is still small so there is plenty of room in there for him/her but as you get further along you will know whaen not to lay on your tummy because it will cause you some discomfort. congrats on your little one.

You will know when it's too late to lay on your tummy. It will be uncomfortable. Enjoy sleeping any ole way you want to right now (except on your back) because before too long, you'll be forced to sleep on your side.

I'd check that out with your OB, tummy sleeping was ok for me except when she got to be soo big I felt like I was laying on a water balloon.
