I know this just makes me sound so old but it breaks my heart to see the kids(18-22) who work for me find out they are going to be Moms or Dads. They are just babies! So many of them have sooo much potential! I just feel they have stunted their future with the added responsibility of a family. It just breaks my heart!

I hear ya. It really is sad.

Start giving them condoms. Or tell them, "If you can't use a condom, use your imagination."

Keep in mind that things happen for a reason and this is a part of the Lord's plan for them. The added responsibility may be a positive thing for some kids who may have strayed without something to work hard for. You can casually discuss safe sex or abstinence with the others but be supportive to those in the situation. The last thing they need is another lecture when it's too late.

Why does it break your heart? are they all single ? or only some single ? or married ? your not very clear on their situations of living and marrital status.

And why does them having babies mean their careers end ? unless you sack them the minute they find out their pregnant? in which case thats illegal?

You cant mother the world. And if it make's you sad why not start up a work program within work hours to help them be parents and still keep their careers? if your the boss then it shouldnt be to difficult to surf the web and find out all you need to help them to work and raise their kid's without it effecting their financial situations. The west pac bank does it.

WELL, ahhh (sigh) sweet pie when you're living in a free society and people have the rights to do what they want to do with their lives, you can't really tell them what and how they would go about their lives on a daily basic but you'd rather express your concerns about what the future-hold most likely be for them and it's all up to them whether they'd want to listen to you or not. if you told them one thing that is right but it might also lead to contradict to their beliefs and how they were taught by their parents, which might have lead them to dislike your life perspective which leads to rebellious within one culture and religious belief, OKAY! QLKM!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This phenomenon is not new. The fear of AIDS doesn't even stop teens, young people from having unprotected sex. The thought of becoming parents never even enters their minds.
