If you have time, attend the next school board meeting.

OR

Call the school and ask who is on the school board and interview one or two of them.

=============================================
For your Monologue, you could pick any subject that a school board member might like or dislike. Make sure that the names in your monologue are not real people in your town. IF you have a school board member or someone who ran for school board named JOHNSON, you would not want your monologue to start out or include:

======================================

Now for possible ideas:

The school board is meeting and someone stands before the school board demanding the school board pass a bond for a new stadium for the football field.
Or someone standing before the school board demanding the school board take better care of the football stadiom.
Your character as a school board member could take a position for or against the new stadium.
or for or against improving the football stadium.
< JOHNSON Field is perfectly fine. It was good enough when I was a cheerleader. Nothing is wrong with it now.
or
It was good enough when I played football on it. There is no need for another football stadium. All we need is a few volunteers to come over with their riding mowers and mow it.
or
I understand the rodeo last summer just tore the field up. All we need is some grass seed and everything will be just fine.
IF we spend a lot of money on the football stadium, we won't be able to have the school play this year. We have to have the school play. The school just would not be the same without the annual school play.

I hope that helps.

School board members set the policies of the school, create budget,hire superintendents, etc. Liberal progressive members of the board want to make all the decisions for everyone and tax everyone more and spend more money on everything. Conservative traditional members want to allow schools and people to make up their owm minds on how to do things, they want to reduce taxes and they want to preserve traditional values which the liberals want to destroy in the name of Political Correctness.. Choose a side and an issue and go for it.
