Go to www.secondharvest.com and you will find a link to foodbanks in your area. These are like free food wholesalers and they in turn can give you a pretty complete list of soup kitchens, food pantries etc that give away food.
Another possibility is http://www.altavista.com/web/results?itag=ody&pg=aq&aqmode=s&aqa=Queens&aqp=soup+kitchen&aqo=&aqn=&kgs=1&kls=0&dt=tmperiod&d2=0&dfr%5Bd%5D=1&dfr%5Bm%5D=1&dfr%5By%5D=1980&dto%5Bd%5D=13&dto%5Bm%5D=9&dto%5By%5D=2007&filetype=&rc=dmn&swd=&lh=&nbq=10 long looking link but it is what Altavista brought up when I searched for Queens Soup Kitchens a couple of the links are useless ads but most of the rest sound like good sources of free food including free food and care for a pet if you happen to need that too.
Another good resource is http://4homeless.hypermart.net/soup_kitchens.html that not only tells where they are in NY and elsewhere but rates a lot of them on usefulness and atittude.
Some of these places will have ppl who can help you work on the situations that caused you to need food help if you want them to and maybe guide you to some places that can provide some of your other needs.
BTW you do not need a permanentb address to get a food stamp card. Chrck with the NY human resources department or ask at ione of the food places and they can tell you where when and how to apply so you can have better choices in what you want to eat.
God be with you.
Note to other posters: Neither you nor I know why this person needs food. They may be ill. They may be working but at a low wage job hat does not provode enough to meet their needs or their families needs. They may be elderly. They may have worked for a place that closed down. Before you throw off on someone please think about how you might feel if you were in any of those circumstances especially if you also had a child or children looking to you for food. My guess is that anger and frustration wouldn't begin to describe it. And btw the libraries have computers free for public use.

I think if you contact theSalvation Army in your area then can connect you with their own social service branch which will have a food bank. They may be also able to direct you to any community food banks. The St. Vincent DePaul org. may also have something like a soup kitchen to offer free or cheap meals. Some agencies can also offer you in a job search ,agencies like the John Howard Society. I'm sorry that you appear to be down on your luck.Good luck

Off of the road? It may be a little off but if you're desperate...
But seriously, if you need food that bad maybe you should ask for assistance from a mission or half way house or something. Or busk for money. Or wait round near the trash of a shop around closing time and see if they throw any perfectly good food out.

Is their a Trader Joes in New York or Queens? Trader Joes allows you to sample the food before you buy and they always have recipe samples there. Have fun. By the by I guesstimate you are not homeless or destitute because you have a computer or friends (that can feed you) that have one because you posted this question. I also guesstimate that you are a moocher am I wrong? Again have fun.

Look. If I had to wait 24 hours for delivery, I know that whatever I order is gonna be cold and hard and inedible. I'm not paying for that - I want my pizza NOW!

Get a job and pay for it, like everyone else.
In an emergency, contact a local church to see where a food shelf is near you.
