My friend told me he saw an article in the newspaper about how someone is Wisconsin got burned at the stake for heresy on Monday because they supported "an enemy of the green bay packers". Apparently the Green Bay Packers played against Philedelphia on Sunday, and this person was caught wearing a Philedelphia jersey in public, so he was found guilty of Heresy and was burned at the stake! I asked to see the article but my friend said he already threw the newspaper away. Is this true?

Not legally.
However, there are some very hard-core packer fans here in Wisconsin (or maybe i should call them fanatics). These people would probably like to burn people who support the Green Bay Packer's opposing teams at the stake, but i've never heard of that happening. However, people would insult you if they saw you in public, you might get assaulted or something like that. And the police might not intervene if they did. Your friend is lying.

HAHAHA, funny question, though.

Even though I am a Steelers fan I think that the Green Bay Packers should be considered the best NFL team of ALL TIME. Some Steelers and Cowboys fans tend to throw their Super Bowl rings in others faces, but completly ignore Green Bay's championships. Don't forget the Browns have 8 NFL championships to the Steelers 6, but some Steelers fans forget that and rub it in Browns fans faces. So yes. Green Bay SHOULD be the real "America's team". Have fun dealing with the Cowboys bandwagoners with this question.

Went to a Packers vs Tampa game once and was kicked out of the stands for rooting for Tampa. Not to mention the things that was hurled at me besides all the insults . This happened in Milwaukee. I was also arrested for disorderly conduct cause I told this guy to duck off which turned out to be an undercover cop. So I hate sports when you can't root for a team of choice here in America at a game.

Yes, it is. The love and devotion to the Packers is very deep. It transcends all local, state, or national laws. You can be stoned to death just for mispronouncing Brett Favre's last name. Goats, chickens, cheese, and brats are sacrificed to the Great God Lombardi before every game.

Sic Semper Ursus! Sic Semper Leos! Sic Semper Vikings!

(Of course, your friend could be lying to you, hmmm?)

He wasn't burned at the stake - just impaled.

There was a burn ban in effect at the time.
