Your best bet is to find a tv station's website and click on it periodically (since I've found many discrepancies with the Weather Channel).
For Mankato, MN, the tv channel is KEYC-tv.

I suggest you go to Yahoo Weather or weather.com and type in a city name or zip code and see what comes up. I'm in Georgia, so I don't know the weather up north.
