I really want to do a student exchange to England or Germany. But I don't know if I need to take German to go to Germany. How much would I need to save up? And I plan on taking German winter quarter at school. I am going to be taking the foregin language test soon. So, I can get into the German class. I am going to see if my college has a German club to join. Can any one help me PLEASE???

Since you are considering studying abroad i would highly recommend the organization Global Learning Semesters. I know that they have a program in England, but not in Germany alone. Last Fall i did the European Union Program based out of Cyprus and that does include travel to key cities in Germany such as Berlin, Munich, Dresden, and Dachau though. The support provided by everyone involved in the organization from Application to graduation is unparalleled. You live in a great house or apartment, the classes are very intellectually challenging, and it really is worth every penny of the tuition cost. Good luck on your journey.

This depends on where you go. Most exchanges mean that you would be a student at a normal university in the country, and in Germany, they speak German at the universities. If you haven't taken any yet, you might have trouble; even those schools which offer some kind of an accelerated program for international students to help them get up to speed generally assume that you have at least an intermediate level of the language first.
