I'm asking for a letter of recomendation. what should I ask to be put into my letter?

your strenghts why you would be a good fit for the program you are entering, academic skills, character etc

I write a lot of letters, and I really resent being told what to write. The whole idea of a recommendation is that it is MY opinion of the person, not what the person asked me to write. The only exception might be if the school asked for information on something specific, I would need to know that.

If yes, that is enough, along with examples.

WHy the candidate is good, why he is a good student, why he is good for this school, what he wants to be. Mostly why he is a good student and what he can offer the school....or she...
