There are other anti-depressants, some of which repress the appetite. You should talk to your psychiatrist about alternatives if your current medicine isn't doing what you want it to do. No doctor is going to be happy that his or her patient is gaining lots of weight because of medication. Any good doc will be willing to help you find a better fit.
You could also ask about being weened off of the medicine (with the doctor's supervision) and trying to deal with your depression with perhaps additional visits to a psychologist coupled with a better diet and regular exercise, etc.
Don't stop your medicine without your doctor's advice and support. This can often cause serious health issues, violent outbursts, sudden despair, and suicidal tendencies.

I went through a similar thing with anxiety, put the "Paxil Pounds" on. I've been off of it for nearly a year (mine was for bad anxiety). I take plenty of B vitamins and a daily vitamin and try to exercise. I have heard St. John's Wort works for some people, but I would talk to your dr first about it. Good luck!

Hypothyroidism manner the thyroid gland is underactive and fails to secrete ample hormones into the bloodstream. This reasons the character’s metabolism to sluggish down.

I've faced these issues myself!! Honestly, talking to friends and exercising helped me with depression so much. Exercising releases natural endorphins (spelling?) and helps your mind and body relax. You're more likely to lose weight doing this which will make you feel better in itself. What do you like to do? Find something that makes you feel good and do it. Listen to some classical music while laying down or find a book that grabs your attention!

Vitamins do nothing.
The next best thing to meds is therapy with a good psychologist or psychiatrist (depending on your budget).

Count your blessings, fellowship, prayer, but first come to Jesus and know him as your personal Savior.
