I feel good and shy at the same time.

I absolutely love it.
I am one of THE biggest advocates of using manners. My whole family was brought up that way. So when I do something nice like hold the door for someone or pick up something they drop, 85% of the time I get no response. So when someone says thank you, that lets me know that they are thankful and courteous themselves (rather than being an ungrateful scoundrel. Nothing annoys me more than doing something nice for someone with no thanks in return.)

Not a heck of a lot. Thank you gets thrown around so much as a formality that it hardly has any affect on me anymore.
