Im in desperate need of a roommate or cheap apartment near DOwntown charlotte Area.......online websites arent fast enough and you have to wait for them to respond....i need to move ASAP.......Does anyone know a clasified newspapaper or friend to refer to me to for housing....Please Help

search the internet for the newspaper in that area and look under the classifieds. Also places like rent.com, apartments.com....some places have a roommates section...some just have efficiency/studio apartments. I have no idea why you are waiting for them to respond. Get out your credit card and start calling places. When they have a place then immediately ask if you can put a deposit on it and give them your credit card number (but make sure it's in an ok area). If you can get a six month lease (even if you pay a little more for it) then do that, and when you renew then go for the year. Use the phone (you don't have to wait for them to respond that way). The other things is to go in person...find out which ones are in the area you want and then kind of go door to door and ask. Usually rents start either the 1st or 15th of the month, and in some places you have to wait for an apartment for a year. So if you check the newspaper they might have roommate accommodations. It is definitely scary to live with someone these days...as you never know what they're up to or who they will bring in or what they will take from you or if you give them your check to pay the rent that they never pay the rent with it, or if they move out and you get stuck with both yours and their part of the rent. I'd be looking on the search engine for "Charlotte (+state) daily newspaper". or "Charlotte (+ state) sunday newspaper".
