I consider myself a fairly educated African American; My parents and I immigrated over here from Nigeria. I have a culm. GPA of 3.93 I just wanted to know if it would be easier me to get into schools like Harvard, Stanford or Princeton? Be honest and God bless.

You may not have much of an advantage because you were not born in this country. In general, efforts to even the playing field for people of color stop short when it comes to giving any preference to those who immigrated here. On the other hand, you do add something unusual to the schools because they probably don't have a lot of Nigerian applicants.

It will be easier for you to get into an elite school. African Americans are in the minority. However, there are plenty of African Americans that will think that way as well. However, you seem extremely qualified. Also, if you write your essay about your past in Nigeria, colleges love that!!
