I think this is a phase you are going thru. I went thru a terrible phase when my kids were born. I thought I was the worst mother ever and I didn't know it had a name til years later, postpartum blues. One thing that I've found that works when my mind gets racing, is I walk around as if I am driving and then I stop suddenly and say stop it outloud. In other words, putting the brakes on those scary thoughts. Many people get them. You aren't the only one. Think happy thoughts, think positive. Say things like, "I am good" "I am worthy" "I am happy", keep chanting this mantra every morning and every night. You will soon find that these thoughts will stop coming so much and then they are gone. Hang in there, you probably are just going through something in your life that makes you feel that way. Take that fear back and empower yourself. Don't let fear rule you If you let your emotions rule you, sin is your master. Smile and I'll be praying for you.

Until you become "exposed" ,as you put it, you will never become stronger and more mature. Everyone goes through that stage. If you take it and learn from it then you will be fine. I have been through that and I have learned that people do to you only what you let them. If you believe in YOU then who can stop you? You overcome it by assuming the anatomical position, feet firmly planted, palms out and head facing forward, and let it hit you fully in the face. You also surround yourself with people who you know are out to help you, not hurt you. It is ok, to be vulnerable at times, it's not okay to let your fears and disbeliefs stop you from living.

I would translate this to mean: I'm afraid to be vulerable. I'm afraid to not have an identity. I'm afraid to not have will enough to think for myself.

You can remedy these feelings by finding something about yourself to be confident about. By having a strong foundation and a healty social network that will validate who you are.

time will help you..you need to avoid those who have made you feel self doubt and find those who bring you up...and have faith in you...when you are around people who constantly brow beat you, you do seem to lose faith in yourself....so,..you have nothing to be exposed for, and they have made you feel that way also, less than them, to make themselves feel better..just reach for the stars, and don't let anyone stop you

If you're open with yourself your feelings and thoughts will be sorted out soon enough. Don't worry about what other people think about you.
