Drop the class now and try it again later. 52 is an F and if you're getting an F now, you're going to have a hard time raising that to a C.

A 52 is a F.
I thought a D isn't a pass in a class.

52 is a F. I finally brought up my grades last quarter. I had to work hard to get my GPA up.
So for you I would recommend what others have said to you.
GO to office hours.
Talk to your instructors
Go get tutoring
Ask questions
Be sure to write down notes during the class
Study at least 2 hours for every day for every 1 hour in class.
i hope that helps

Get some extra help from your professor as soon as possible. Hire a tutor. If you want to continue in college and not flunk out, start applying yourself and working hard.
You are failing with a 52, and barely passing with a C in college does not mean too much when you are trying to get a degree.
Best of luck and I hope you get the help that you need.

A 52% average is an E (or F) in college. The grading scale should be on your course syllabus. If you have lost your copy, ask your instructor for another one - or to go over the grading scale again.

A 52 is an F. Go to office hours. Go to office hours every day as much as possible. If the professor sees that you're trying, they will tend to do some "funny math" to help out your grade. Also, always go to class. See the TA. GO TO OFFICE HOURS!!! (I can't stress that enough- your grade will improve drastically).

Final test can be more than 50% of your grade so you could still get a c if you really wanted too. Remember c is average even if people treat it like a bad grade.
