It's a very real issue. Having just graduated from high school, I can say this confidently. My high school was one of the best in the area and it was a well known fact that, YES, there were people who had sex and even if it was known in gossip, it was something the parents were completely oblivious too.
I can't say how much of the high school population is sexually active, I know that a majority -wasn't-. I think it does a great deal with peer pressure and who people hang out with, but still, it's there.

Yes everyday, hour, minute, and second. It's a harsh reality because there is a growing number of people younger than high schoolers are having sex.

Of course they do. Teens nowadays don't have that innocent mind anymore in which they would wait to get married and then have sex.
Why do u think the statistics in STDs are now increasing. Now it is from 13 to 25 year olds who have STDs.
It isn't surprising anymore to see 14+ years old teens pregnant.
Most parents don't know. But there are teens who have enough confidence in their parents to tell them. I have many friends who have sex and some of them tell their parents.

YES! some kids are having sex BEFORE highschool!. and of course the parents arent gonna find out

I've been having sex since I was 13.
and I was an A student in High School.
so its not just the cool kids.
However, I met someone amazing (18 year old, I was 16)..and I was their first..and I trully had wished I had waited just for this person, because they meant so much to me and I wanted to give this person something more special.

yeah most do by the time they graduate... I havent yet however and I'm graduating this year... And when I am gonna have sex, my moms gonna know about it, I dont wanna pay for my own birth control...
By the way, my high school is like STD central... OMG there are sooo many STDs its ridiculous, I wouldnt have sex with anyone who goes to my school because I know for a fact like 50% of my grade has herpes and a few people have gonaria (sp?) and who knows what else is floating around... And its all cuz one s|ut got an STD...

well im only in 10th grade so im not having sex but last week in the locker room i heard a girl who was a jr say "this sucks! i cant have sex till next wed cause im on my period!" so yea i guess some kids do in high school. that girl is stupid though i think she doing it for the attention.

Yeah! i just graduated from high school and there were about 7 girls in the high school alone that either had babies or are still pregnate...and there were even 3 of them in the middle school! theres a lot of things that students do that they keep from their parents...

Yeah my parents haven't found out. I think the most common way they find out is by their kids telling them they have had sex.
