Nothing is ever completely equal.... However, it is important to work toward that as a team. Someone will always make more money then the other. Someone will always do more of the house hold cleaning. Someone will always take a stronger roll with the kids.... But that doesn't mean that you are not a good team or even equal partners. A strong marriage is built off of being able to work together for a common goal.

It should be. But often never is. One person is always a bit inferior. I don't mean this in a bad way. Just that one person's always the leader at certain things, and the other is always the follower at other things. Some can do some things better than their spouse. That's why it's said that a husband and wife are supposed to complete eachother. One's supposed to compensate for what the other lacks, and therefore, be a whole marital unit.

Now days that seems to be the popular view, but back in the day when dad had the final say there were fewer divorces and the kids were better behaved.
