Hi there !
The question seems to be little vague..
If you are asking about routine blood tests, the pain is NOT going to be "severe" to prevent you from "going to school" !
But if it is an "excuse" you are looking for avoiding the school .....
it is your wish....!

best wishes !

If after blood test or in other words blood was removed through a venepuncture and the area pains a lot perhaps there might have been through and through puncture of the vein with injury to the underlying tissue or if the pain is along the vein which has become hard it has led to inflammation of vein. In such a condition You may off for the day from school and consult a doctor.

How does it pain?
I'd go to school. I've had multiple blood tests and still returned to school the same day.

You need to go ahead and go to school. The pain is just temporary and is no reason not to go. I sure hope you didn't cry and throw a fit when the blood was drawn. It is so embarrassing to parents when older kids do that.

i think things which we think to be problem to us are not understood by others easily i know it pains but you will go to school with friends and all activities you may feel diverted and probably forgets the pain but it will pain more if you are sitting at home concentrating on your pain

and it may swell some time but i don't think there is any harm in going to school
you can apply ice cube if pain is immense

1. If you sit still it hurts much less
2. There is no reason it should keep you out of school if it has stopped bleeding, (3 to 5 minutes)
