Well unless you see or hear this "Jesus" then I guess you'll have to use bibles to answer this. Try using the rule that says to do to others what you would want them to do to you, in all things. It says that this sums up the law and prophets. The hard part is to justify using violent measures to get things done using your bibles. The phrases "do not resist an evil person" and "turn the other cheek", among others, are kind of hard to get around, and yet people can say, "well if I was being murdered and abused and opressed etc I would want someone to come help me". By the way, why didn't you ask if "God" approves of it? It is clearly stated that God is still God and "Jesus" is his son and not actually God himself. I would think that a true christian would read their own books which are the basis of their religions.

I do not think that the Jesus Christians believe in would bless a mission like Iraq. Unless he is on Rockafellers and Wolfowitzs side.

I've heard he blesses the birds and the bees - but never anything about bombing cities, killing of innocent citizens of a nation nor sending the youth of a nation to be slaughtered and maimed for no reason..........

Anything we do to help our brothers and sisters who are in need, God blesses us for it.

We're of no use to God is we can't do things that pleases Him ... and what would that be? Allowing our brothers and sisters to be persecuted for no other reason than spite.

EDIT:

'Jesus does peace'

Rich On Cape Cod,

Yes, and that's why we were sent to create peace for our brothers and sisters in Iraq.

It's making us safer, you bet 100%
The specific mission and plan are useful, but the Iraqi people themselves must step up and be counted, it's their fight to loose.
No, Jesus doesn't do war. Jesus does peace and love and brotherhood and hates to see men kill eachother. Jesus wants the war over as soon as we are victorious

If this is how a war goes when Jesus blesses it, I hope I never see one that he curses.....
