Get yer brooms out! SWEEP! :-)
Nah. I'm just hoping for 2 outta 3. It's going to be a tough series.
I'm not sure what our situation with Dice-K is...But I KNOW Andy will do a good job today. Give up a couple a runs. Strikeout a lot of kids...Pretty decent pitching from the Yanks, dontcha think? Hopefully Dice-K will choke.
Wang should pitch himself a win tomorrow. I cannot guarantee it, but I have faith in him.
I'm not worried about Beckett much. I should be, but I'm not...
If the Rocket doesn't pitch on Sunday...We might be screwed. If the Rocket doesn't make it, I think Hughes will pitch. I'm not sure though...Yeah...I'm worried about the final game of this the most...
I'm not sure who they'll hit because of what happened with Joba, but they should be happy as long as they hit somebody.
At the moment, the only REALLY clear thing is that it's gonna be one hell of a weekend!

Pettitte is always tough against the Sox and Dice-K is having a tough time right now. I say Andy takes it.
Second Game: Umm, Don't read too much into Beckett's record? Are you kidding? So should we say the same about Wang? Dumb comment. Beckett has been awesome this year! I say Beckett gets revenge. Sox game two.
Not sure where anyone heard Schilling was not pitching. There is no way Wakefield will pitch, because the Yanks own him. I say Schilling take game three. Sox take 2 out of 3.
If the Sox take one game or even two before Sunday, you can bet Curt will throw at someone.

I thought the Game One matchup was going to be easy peasy lemon squeasy. It has not. The Yankees are struggling in the 1st game. HOPEFULLY they can score a another run!
Yankees lose game one, bounce back to win the next two games. All I have to say.
SOMEONE IS ALWAYS GOING TO BE HIT IN THE YANKEES - RED SOX SERIES!
Edit : I am typing as the Yankees enter the ninth inning. The Yankees are amazingly winning 8-7. If they hold on to win it, I honestly believe they can sweep the stuggling Bo Sox.

You're so lucky you've been to Red Sox/Yankees games!! I don't even remember who we were playing the first time I went, my dad took me when I was still just a little kid (6 or 7 I think.) My first game that I remember though was in third grade against the Blue Jays.. We lost. We've lost every game I've gone to! =(

It should be a great weekend! I guarantee there will be a hit batsman but not too sure who the target will be. I don't agree with hitting people on purpose but, since it's not my call, it will happen. I hope it is not a blow out weekend where the Sox get smoked..lol..It is more exciting when the teams are close and the games are close although, my nerves would tend to disagree. :)

Even though the 4 AL teams are basically set now (Bos, NY, Cle & Anaheim), every game is still important for both teams as far as playoff positioning goes.
Boston needs to avoid having to play 4 games in Anaheim, so they need to finish with the best record.
New York needs to avoid Anaheim PERIOD. They have their number. For them to make the series they most likely have to catch up & win the division.
So NY needs the wins more than Boston does. But with the way both teams are playing now, nothing would surprise me. Though I think the least likely scenario is a Boston sweep, since Matsusaka seems to be gassed (they don't pitch this much in Japan) and NY looks good to take the opener.
As far as hitting batters, at this point it would be plain stupid. The goal is to not only win the game you are playing, but keep the team set up to win more later, not to lose arms to suspensions.

I hope for the Yanks to win at least 2 out of 3. Sweeping will be a bonus. Will not be suprised if something happens this weekend over the Joba incident.

Well a Redsox Yankee matchup is always an exciting one. Its the best rivalry in all of sport. I'm hoping that the Bosox forget about Joba's wildness and paly baseball. I think there are going to be 3 great games played. The pitching matchups are stoked. NY wins 2 of 3.

The Yankees should at least take 2 out of 3. However, don't be surprised to see the Yankee sweep the Red Sox. Beckett hasn't pitched well against the Yankees this year. Don't let Beckett's record fool you. Schilling is getting old, and Dice-K gives up a lot of runs against the Yankees. It could be another Boston Massacre.
