this game will be very high scoring. The vikings will shut down the lions running game. But the Vikings have a bad secondary and the Lions will beat the Vikings through the air.
The Lions defense is so bad that they gave up 21 points to the Raiders. How do you give up 21 points to the worst offense in the NFL? The Vikings will run the ball well and Jackson will have a good game.
I say that the Lions win in a shootout 35-31.

It is going to depend of a few things. The first one is how the Lions OL can hold up against the Vikings DL. Last week the Lions OL held a good Raiders rush to only 1 sack and nothing from Burgess.
The Lions must be able to run the ball. They won't be able to just come out and pound the Vikings though. They are going to need to get a few 3 and 4 WR sets out and are going to have to air it out early. They will then need to use Tatum on a couple of draws and delays to get the ground game moving.
The Lions D will have to stop AD. If they can shut down the Vikings run O and make Jackson have to beat them through the air they should win this game. It is easier said then done though as the Vikings boast a very good OL.
I'll say in the end the Lions will prevail at home 28-17.

No, the Lions won't beat the Lions. The Lions have no running game, and they will resort to the pass. While most people say "the vikings secondary sucks", that is the worst rumor I have ever heard. There stats are nearly Identical to the Raiders, who had the best pass D last year.
Completion %
Minnesota: 59.3
Oakland: 59.8
Yards per attempt
Minnesota: 6.7
Oakland: 6.4
Touchdowns given up
Minnesota: 15
Oakland: 17
Interceptions:
Minnesota: 21
Oakland: 18
% of pass plays resulting in first downs
Minnesota: 32.1
Oakland: 33.4
People pass against the vikings, because they can't run it. Jackson will have an absolute feast on the lions secondary, and Adrian Peterson will torch the Lions D.

yeah i hope so. vikings aint that tough. if the lions continue to go to the air, vikings will get squashed. lions have to score points though and force the vikings to pass, which they cant do very well. if the score is close, then the vikings and their running game may walk right over detroit. remember, vikings pass defense last year was among the worse in the league. on top of that, they lost their D-Coordinator Mike Tomlin. dont be troubled that they managed to contain the falcons, who wont do anything this year as they didnt look for a replacement for mike vick. i'm hoping for the lions to pull through just so i can laugh some more at minnesota!!!
