I am all for the cutting of the funding, anything to stop the wasting of our troops lives and the raping of our treasury. The only problem is that the republicans will blame their failures in Iraq if the funding is cut and there is also the possibility that Bush will just instruct Secretary of Defense to illegally use other Department of Defense funds to keep the war profiteering going as long as possible.

Cutting of funding is not popular even with most Democrat voters. It would also be political suicide for Democrats in congress. So you can expect the Democrats to do what they always do when the far left starts demanding action that the Democrats don't really want to do. If pressured enough, they will present a bill but make sure only those Democrats in the most virulently anti-war districts vote for it, while making sure there are not enough votes to actually pass it. They may permit some "poison pill" amendment to be added so they can pretend that that is why they could not support it.

Either way, what the anti-war part of the base will get is lip service and that is all. Don't feel bad, the Republicans do the same thing. It is all part of the game.

It'll never happen. Those who do will look foolish! Remember they are just as responsible for this as the rest of congress. They too passed the Iraq Liberation Act 360-38 in 1998 under Bill Clinton.

I've already written a letter to my representative to voice my opinion. And that opinion is none of your business.
