After a long time with Tylenol PM (Over 5 months) I had a lot of trouble getting off of it. I had to deal with not being able to sleep, headaches like you can't believe, and things like that. Well about 4 months later I can sleep on my own, but I still get the headaches, and I still have this feeling like I'm not all there, like this guy talks about...

Does anyone have any advice for a way to fix this?

Tylenol PM is great for intermittant, short term use. The tylenol itself is not causing headaches, nor does it cause rebound headaches. The sleeping agent, diphenhydramine can cause you to be jittery. Both of these are out of your system in a day though, so they wouldn't be the cause of your headaches and strange feeling after your stop taking it. However, your sleep is different when on a PM med like this one, so when you stop the med, you have to adjust to sleeping without it, and you may not be sleeping well, which can cause your headaches and strange feeling. If I can suggest this, it may help: I've taken Sonata, a prescription sleeping pill and it is a life saver. It has a very short half life, and only lasts for about 4 hours, so it gets you to sleep if you happen to wake up at 2, but you can still get up at 6, FULLY RESTED. I took Sonata and it got rid of my chronic nightmares and allowed me to rest peacefully. Good luck.

Have been using it for about a year with no problems. sometimes dont take it and i fall asleep just takes longer. but no other symptoms like you described. any meds that have pain relievers can cause the rebound headaches not just the pm formulas. and i take daytime pain relievers for aches and pains so that may be why i dont feel headaches. will check that link and see what i can learn thanx

It will destroy your liver.

You need to see your doc and get a liver panel ASAP.

Read the warning label. Tylenol/Acetaminophen is a wonderful drug, but like many drugs, it is not safe to be taking every day for 5 months.

You could have liver enzyme problems, which could cause a whole list of problems. You need to see a doctor.

Tylenol PM just actually has a Benadryl type additive. It's no big deal. I know people who have taken it for years and had no problems stopping it.

Only one I know from the top of my head is if you overdose, liver damage can be a consequence. If you took an overdose, call 911 immediatley! Good luck.
