its basically just another way of saying "if you please" or just plain "please"

It's actually short for "If you would be so kind". So it's just a polite way of asking someone nicely to do something. It's sort of an old fashioned saying.

its either askin to please do it politely or its correspondes to the saying "if i were you, i would..." like if you would naturally do it then please do, your choice. idk but that sounds good. hope i helped!
