Okay so I bought 2 clownfish two days ago, and I would like to get a Black and white one, btw they are the normal one now it said percula but not true and the fish guy said that they are sold unidentified so I am pretty sure that they are false or ocelarias (sp. no time to check!), but I would to add one more can I??? Also has anyone ever seen a checkered butterfly fish I looked for pictures but could not find any but 1! Aquarium is only a 20 gallon and its my first sw tank so I wanted to goi small so I am upgradeing to a 55 or so in maybe a year!! If that is relavent!! Please help I harte posting and not getting responses!

I have seen the butterfly fish you mentioned, but its proper name is rearely used making it more difficlt to find info on. I did the SW thing for 15 years. Very $$$. I would not recommend adding another Clown of ANY type right now. Clowns are fiercly territorial within thier own speicies. also, SW is very difficult to balance in small tanks. when going salt, bigger is better. 2 suggestions, when you get the 55gal, and you still want a butterfly, get lots of sponges and live rock or the fish will die within a year. buy clowns in 3s, more is not better, but you will increase the odds of a pair. clown do occasionally breed out side of thier own type. Clowns will kill each other in a tank if not introduced toghether of of different types.a black and white percula will not survive-your tank is too small for a butterfly fish of any type. your 100= gallon tank would need to be well-established(oner a year0 for it to thrive.good luck!!
