who cares. if it is something that you really want to do, then do it. being laid off might be a blessing in disguise. take this opportunity to venture into something that you may have always wanted to do. guys do makeup and hair. no biggie. i would not look twice. go for it

Men and women are pharmacists. Thus, a man in cosmetology should be quite all right. YOU should go for it. I know that you will do well. Women, who are customers, particularly like the idea of men in that field. What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? - Romans 8:31. The Lord daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah. Peace, Love and God Bless.

Well.....honestly most that I have seen are gay!!! But that doesnt mean that all of them are.Personally I think that some guys just have that skill and enjoy doing that type of work..some men are more feminine, or in my opinion can relate to women better ( that doesnt mean they are gay, maybe you grew up with 5 sisters) then the men that think they are better then others..if you ask me more feminine men are the ones that know how to please a women better and keep her happy...people may act as though you are out of place or wonder if your gay....but who cares ..if your doing something you like to do. So what about ..women who are in construction or a mechanic ..just because what its mostly a mans job not feminine enough....ok so I see nothing wrong with that as long as its something you want to do you shouldnt worry about what picture other people take!;)

go ahead, it wouldn't hurt. I know alot of guys that are beautitians. One guy at my salon can probably braid and style hair better than the women can!

No offense, but most are very young and potentially gay. I've never meet a man who was a cosmetologist and wasn't gay.
