just to hang out with someone?

I use to do.....until I realised that the negative energy it required to do that was literally sucking the life out of me!! When you feel drained after being in the company of a person or persons, it's time to cut the cord that binds in that particular friendship.

It depends on the situation. If I have to do it for professinalism's stake then I would. If I have to do it just to make the person I love to be happy, then again probably I would. If I have to do it because I have no choice maybe I would. But the question is..... why hang out with persons you don't like? That would not make you happy and you won't enjoy much. You also hurt that person's feeling because you might treat him/her bitterly while you are hanging together. This is not a good environment for both of you.

I might if the only way i can hang out with people i do like comes with the package. I might not converse with that person so much, but I will always give people a chance. Sometimes the people you think you don't like is due to not really knowing them or trying to befriend them. If you cannot stand a person though, under any circumstances, then I would say, why put yourself through it?

No, but I know a surprising number of people who do. I don't like two-facedness. If I don't like someone, I'll be polite, but I won't give them the impression they're my friend. I dislike these girls who hug you and invite you on their little toilet excursions if you're out in a group with them, but then turn around and tell their friends that they don't like you for whatever reason. People are entitled to dislike other people, but why pretend?
I'd rather sit in on my own!

No, I don't do that. I'd rather find someone I like to hang around with or spend some time on my own.

i wouldn't say i don't like them, but they're not exactly the best people i know. all of my real friends live ages away so i've got to stick with someone. i just hate being by myself in public, i get scared, so i've got to have someone with me, be it a real friend or an acquaintance.

I'm afraid I have to say yes.
There is one girl who I have absolutely nothing in common with, but I keep in contact just incase.
She is a nice person, but she's uneducated and dull. I just can't relate to her.
Oh god. Is that absolutely terrible?

Never. Life is way too short for that kind of nonsense. In a pinch, my own company is just fine.
