q1
424 n(n-1)>848
n^2-n-848>0

n=30

q2
999*(1+999)/2
=500*999
=499500

For #2...

1 + 2 + 3 + ... + 997 + 998 + 999
= (1 + 998) + (2 + 997) + (3 + 996) + ... + 999
There are 998/2 = 499 of the bracketed expressions, so:
= 499 * 999 + 999
= 500 * 999 = 499500

For #1, there would be n(n-1)/2 handshakes. So,
n(n-1)/2 = 424
n^2 - n - 848 = 0
n = 29.6, roughly.

So, you'll need 30 people.

#2 first 1 + 999 = 1000 2 + 998 + 1000 ... 999 / 2 *100 or 499,500

#1 I think it's the square root of 424. 20.59 people shake hands with 20.59 people. In whole numbers it would be 21

questions #2: 459,500

Here's the way I figured it. I imagine a whole series of numbers from 1, 2, 3....to 997,998,999. If I take the first number and the last number, add them together, I get 1000. Then if I take the next number (2) and the next to last number (998) and add them together, I get 1000. This keeps going until my total is 459,000 and the only number left is 500.

circumference = 2 * pi * radius to sparkling up you like a radius or diameter c/2pi = r is the different form , you may calculate the radius in case you recognize the circumference. 2/ a = 2* pi * p * w a/(2* pi * w) = p 22/ (2 * pi * 2) = p p = 11/2pi i'm hoping this helped , I dont quite understand the way its phrased :(
