When it comes to designs, I think they look so much better on longer nails.

Personally, I keep my nails short and clean with no polish. If they get long it gets "uncomfortable" because they get in the way when I type, plus that just leaves more area for crud to get underneath.

If you want to know about nails, give your hands a good look then decide if long nails will look good on you. If you have smaller hands and long fingers...I'd say yes. If you have short stubby fingers and fat hands...no way. You can do what you want but remember how you want to look...neat and all together or mix matched. You can have a nice design on small nails too, just stick with a small design not overdone. And also the polish color needs to be taken into consideration too. Small hands with long fingers can wear any color and it's ok but those fat short stubby fingered people need to wear a sheer light pink or neutral color or do the french or american manicure...it looks great on them and even a small design can be a nice touch. A good rule to think of is the longer the finger the longer the nail (now lets not go to extremes either). You'll know yourself once you see the finished produce a manicurist has done, what looks best. Have fun and God Bless, Elle

Short nails! I wear contacts so I can't grow my nails too long. There's a chance that I might poke my eyes, considering how clumsy I am!

from a guys perspective, i don't like girls with long nails. for some reason it just has a bad connotation to it in my impression of what kind of a person they are. for me at least- its a turn off.

Medium is good for me!! You can still do designs and I bathe daily so cleaning them isn't a problem!! I always keep them clean but thats my way of things=]

I think short looks better but that's just my opinion. It is easier to type though.

I prefer well groomed medium length nails...buffed or clear polish.

long is elegant looking, but too long is scary, and short is the way i like it because it's comfortable
